Thousands were forced to leave their homes on Sunday as waters rose, with another 3am warning in Sydney's northwest leaving residents in Eastern Creek with a nervous wait. Those in Windsor have been given a 9am deadline.
Jonathan How from the Bureau of Meteorology said “relentless rainfall” will continue to lash parts of Sydney and eastern NSW until at least Tuesday.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has called severe flooding events on the mid-north coast a once in 100-year event.
