His notorious nuptials drew police, involved an illegal road closure, hastened the demise of his multi-million property empire, preceded his three-year banning from managing companies, led to the sacking of an entire Sydney council and culminated with divorce and an AVO in under a year.

Now the nation’s most famous deputy mayor, Salim Mehajer, has created his own wedding planning company.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission records show Mr Mehajer, despite being banned from managing corporations, is behind two newly-created companies, Mehajer Wedding & Event Planning and a strata management company On Call Strata NSW.

Yesterday Mr Mehajer, 31, posted to Instagram a picture of “Constancesia”, a woman in a low-cut shirt who he said was the “face of my new business” which was “now finally up and running”.

INSIDE STORY: Salim Mejaher the intouchable?

Overnight he posted a logo for the wedding company - adorned with the golden crown image which he used to promote his now failing property development interests - and said the company had been “just over a year in the making”.

“We guarantee the best service or money back guarantee!”, Mr Mehajer wrote.

While Mr Mehajer’s wedding drew attention for its conspicuous opulence - including four helicopters, a jet flyover, scores of motorcycles and around $50 million worth of supercars - he said the company “will work with your budget”.

“We will...beat any prices to make your next event or ceremony memorable.”

Mr Mehajer has been banned for three years from managing corporations after ASIC said he “lacked commercial morality”.

He appealed the banning but the Administrative Appeals Tribunal upheld the finding, saying Mr Mehajer’s management conduct “fell far short of what is reasonably expected of a director” and the banning was “in the public interest to protect others from his incompetence”.

Such orders prevent people from acting as directors in companies, but there is no law preventing them from owning companies.

Mr Mehajer is the 100 per cent owner of Mehajer Wedding & Event Planning, created two weeks ago, but the director and secretary of the company is Ahmed Jaghbir, 28, of Sydney’s Lidcombe.

On Call Strata NSW, created mid-August, is also 100 per cent owned by Mr Mehajer, while its sole director and secretary is Mohomed Abbas, 25, of Bass Hill, also in Western Sydney.

While there are no laws preventing banned directors from owning companies, ASIC can take action if they are found to acting as “shadow directors”, that is influencing the management of the company while not officially holding the role of director.

In submitting paperwork for both companies Mr Mehajer listed the Francis Street Lidcombe house he put up for rent on August 9 as his address,

Mr Mehajer has sought $2950 for the modern mansion, about 30 minute’s drive from Sydney’s CBD, but as reported by The Australian today the property is no longer on the rental market.

He recently put forward the property as surety to allow his bankrupt parents - who allegedly owe creditors $10m - to travel overseas.

IN DEPTH: Everything you need to know about Salim

Mr Mehajer’s August 2015 wedding involved the unauthorised closure of Frances Street, drew national media attention and sparked an inquiry into relationships between developers and councillors at Sydney’s Auburn Council, leading to the entire council standing down.
