Long-lost document exposes lies

Murder suspect Chris Dawson’s lies and omissions to police about his missing wife, Lyn, have been laid bare in a handwritten statement from a file that had been lost for more than 20 years.

A copy was discovered by The Australian only in the past fortnight, after lengthy inquiries for the investigative podcast series The Teacher’s Pet.

It is revealed in a new episode of the podcast, out today.

Queen, Meghan’s great day out

Queen Elizabeth and the Duchess of Sussex shared a laugh yesterday on their first official outing together since the royal wedding last month.

The pair also shared a moment of sadness and reflection as they stopped for 72 seconds of silence to mark the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London that happened a year ago.
