Where the Yes vote flourished, and failed

Inner-city electorates dominate the list of the highest Yes-voting seats around the country, while rural areas overwhelmingly recorded the largest No votes.

Inner-city electorates dominate the list of the highest Yes-voting seats around the country, while rural areas overwhelmingly recorded the latest No votes.

Almost eight out of 10 voters in Greens leader Adam Bandt’s seat of Melbourne voted in favour of the Voice to top the Yes electorates list, in latest counting.

Six of the top 10 seats were in Victoria, with three in NSW and one in the ACT.

The lowest Yes vote was recorded in the western Queensland seat of Maranoa, at 15.9 per cent. The five strongest No-voting electorates were all in Queensland.
