Police have found the second body of two Sydney men who were swept away in wild floodwaters in the Southern Tablelands last week.
On Sunday, authorities confirmed they had located the body of Bob Chahine near Prestons Creek, about 50km from Boorowa, after a multi-agency search found the body of Ghosn Ghosn on Thursday.
The Sydney fathers have now been identified as the two men washed away in floodwaters, after a group of four men attempted to cross Prestons Creek near Bevendale in a utility on Monday night.
While two men in the cabin of the vehicle managed to swim to safety, police said Mr Chahine and Mr Ghosn were swept downstream. It’s understood the two men were travelling in the tray of the vehicle.
On Sunday, authorities said the search operation had concluded and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
