Kerry Packer’s grandkid Francesca laps up sunshine
Even the globe-trotting granddaughter of media tycoon Kerry Packer has been forced to spend her holidays at home.
Like every Sydneysider in this COVID-affected summer, even the globe-trotting granddaughter of media tycoon Kerry Packer has been forced to spend her holidays at home this year.
Francesca Packer Barham, 26, who is the niece of Crown Casino billionaire James Packer, was photographed with a male companion.
Ms Packer Barham, who in the past has been famous for her numerous overseas sojourns including to Coachella festival in California, London and the Mediterranean, appears to have chosen to spend the Christmas holidays at home.
Appearing to make the most of one of Sydney’s sunniest days in weeks, Ms Packer Barham looked like she was on her way home from a workout session. Ms Packer and her male companion left together in her custom matte black Aston Martin.
The heiress has steered away from the casino business – like her mother Gretel Packer – and has been reported to have studied psychology and interior design.
She has also been reported to have battled with her lack of privacy after photos of her lavish birthday party on-board The Island on Sydney Harbour were shared by the press.
She made headlines in September when she splashed out half a million dollars on a 7.34 carat emerald-cut diamond ring, surpassing the previous Australian record price for a single item of jewellery sold at auction.
Her uncle James Packer’s Crown Casino has been under pressure, with the Victorian government scrutinising the company’s suitability to hold a casino licence.
