Brisbane commuters will face lengthy delays this afternoon after a man climbed on top of a train, bringing several lines to a standstill.
Trains south of the city were suspended in both directions around 2.30pm when reports emerged of a man trespassing on the tracks. Police attended when the man climbed onto the roof of a train headed south on the Cleveland line. He was removed and trains resumed at 4pm.

Residual delays of about 90 minutes are expected on the Cleveland, Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines, affecting all trains between Yeerongpilly and Roma Street
The man was taken into custody and transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital for a mental health assessment. No charges have been laid
