Road Test: Exyra glasses
These specs let you look at screens for longer.
Oy, four eyes! That’s no way to address a work colleague. And besides, I don’t need to wear glasses. I’ve got 20/20 vision.
Why wear them then? Is it a geek-chic vanity thing? Perish the thought. These glasses are designed to filter out the blue light emitted by computer screens.
Why’s that a problem? Prolonged exposure to blue light is associated with all sorts of issues, from eye fatigue to headaches and insomnia.
Surely the lenses will distort colours? No, they’re clear, so everything looks the same. Exyra – a start-up run by a Brisbane engineer – will fit prescription lenses if needed; there’s also a range of frame styles.
Anything else? It’s well known that glasses make you look clever. They’re also super sexy! (AMIRIGHT, FELLOW SPECCIES?) Unless you get the ones that make you look like Harry Potter, obviously.
