What is it? A “revolutionary power-nap pillow”. And also, perhaps, a tacit admission that lockdown has stripped you of every last ounce of self-respect.

How does it work? You insert your head right into it – there are holes for your hands (should you wish to wipe away a tear) and one for your mouth too (they’ve thought of everything). The whole thing is made of “dreamily soft, high quality” material, Ostrichpillow says.

Mulberry silk, perhaps? Egyptian cotton? Actually it’s 95 per cent viscose and 5 per cent elastomer, plumped up with a load of polystyrene microbeads.

Verdict: Oooh, it feels lovely. It blocks out a lot of light, and a little noise, creating a cocoon-like experience. “A space of your own. Anytime. Anywhere,” the tagline says. Just remember to set an alarm for that Zoom meeting.
