Piers Morgan attacks Meghan friend Gayle King for revealing conversations between Harry and royal family after Oprah tell-all
He’s off the TV airwaves — for now — but Piers Morgan isn’t taking a backward step in his battle royale with Meghan and Harry.
Piers Morgan has lashed out at American TV journalist Gayle King for revealing information from her friends Prince Harry and Meghan since their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Gayle King, who is also a friend of Ms Winfrey, revealed on Tuesday’s (local time) episode of CBS This Morning that she spoke to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over the weekend, and while they have had discussions with family following their tell-all, it was “not productive”.
“Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father, too,” she said.
“The word I was given was those conversations were not productive. But they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.”
Morgan, who quit his role co-hosting Good Morning Britain last week after he was accused of “trashing” Meghan, has taken to Twitter to blast King for spreading false information.
“Hi @GayleKing - rather than acting as your Sussex friends’ PR mouthpiece to facilitate their ongoing public trashing of our Royal Family, how about doing your job as a journalist and ask them about all the lies they told in @Oprah’s interview?” he wrote.
“America should hear THE truth.”

America should hear THE truth.
Morgan told viewers of Good Morning Britain last week he “didn’t believe a word” of the couple’s shocking claims in their tell-all interview with Winfrey, including that Meghan was suicidal and the victim of racism.
He stormed off set and later quit the show.
Since then, he has been active on Twitter condemning the Sussexes, and voice his support for the Monarchy.
He has claimed the pair were creating “a very deliberate and malicious campaign” against the Royal Family, by painting them as “heartless racists.”
There's a very deliberate & malicious campaign being perpetrated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to smear, defame and trash Britain, our Monarchy & the Royal Family as a bunch of heartless racists.

It's disgusting.
Time to stand up for our Queen. pic.twitter.com/BK5qmEV8el
He also defended himself against claims he was a racist because he “didn’t believe Meghan Markle’s bulls**t.”
Hi @donlemon - are you suggesting in this segment that I am racist because I donât believe Meghan Markleâs bullsh*t? If so, do you have any evidence to support my âracismâ towards Ms Markle? If not, would you like to apologise for such a shameful smear against a former colleague? https://t.co/1kviq8OAZx

King has been widely criticised since revealing her private conversations with Harry and Meghan, as monarchists claim the royal couple are using the TV journalist as a means to drip-feed information to the public.
“Harry and Meghan telling Gayle King about a private conversation is bad enough,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Then Gayle goes on TV to tell the world about how the conversation between the brothers went.
“They’re fine with privacy being invaded as long as they’re the ones doing it.”
