Francesca Packer Barham, fashion curator and daughter of Australia’s newest billionaire Gretel Packer, has broken up with her Melbourne beau, so estate agents are wondering what she’ll be doing with her recent Melbourne purchase. Last weekend the Sydney Daily Telegraph reported she’d quit Melbourne, having split with property developer Kelli Holland earlier this year. Her purchase was a rather pricey Fawkner Park, South Yarra house that cost a tad over $6m last October. Her financier was a family company directed by her mum, so there ought not be any issues there. It was sold through Gowan Stubbings of Kay & Burton by engineer Dean Pritchard who’s moved into a $3m St Kilda Road apartment. The freestanding residence hadn’t traded since 1990 for $1.2m.

Passing Muster in Noosa

The former Austrian tennis champion Thomas Muster has listed one of his Noosa Heads riverfront properties for $5.9 million. It was the first he bought on the water, paying $2.8m in 2013. The house was designed by architect Tim Ditchfield, according to the marketing by Tom Offerman. Muster has most locals mystified, since he’s consolidated three nearby properties for a combined $9.9m, even though no application has yet been lodged with council. Muster first bought into Noosa in 1994 when he paid $1m for Cintamani, a 35 hectare hinterland property. He sold it in 2002 for $7.6m and bought back in 2006, spending $3.5m on Noosa Hill, which he later sold to motor racing driver Mark Webber. Muster spends some time in Queensland because his former wife, Jo Beth Taylor, the former Australia’s Funniest Home Videos host, has resided on the Sunshine Coast with their son.

Baywatch beauty sold

The notorious “Pamela Anderson” house in St Kilda West has been sold for $1.55m. The home comes with a facade featuring the former Baywatch beauty designed by architect Cassandra Fahey in 2000. The large glass mural facade has been a source of controversy ever since it was unveiled at 270 Canterbury Road. It won a Royal Australian Institute of Architects award and made news around the world. The former Geelong footballer turned Channel 9 football commentator Sam Newman built the house at the height of his playboy notoriety, but never lived in it before he sold it for $1.1m in mid-2002. It last sold in 2007 at $1.5m.

Radio host still making waves

Brigette Duclos, who once ruled the breakfast airwaves, has her 1900 Melbourne home for sale. It’s an Edwardian in fashionable Middle Park, bought in 2006 for $2,012,500 when she co-hosted The Cage on Triple M. Behind the Edwardian facade sits a contemporary five-bedroom home with a study, rooftop deck and pool. Greg Hocking of Greg Hocking Holdsworth has it on the market for a June 18 auction. The former radio presenter was known for pulling yellow or red cards on co-hosts when they said anything that could be construed as bad language, especially at school drop off times.
