It's getting hot in Jackie Collins' kitchen
JACKIE Collins, the queen of the bonkbuster, is releasing a cookbook, with recipes "devised" by her most popular character.
YOU have to hand it to Jackie Collins.
The author of bonkbuster novels, who already has a cocktail named in her honour, will next year release another brand extension. Her first cookbook will be a glossy, illustrated affair with recipes "devised" by her most popular character, Lucky Santangelo, the sexy Italian American daughter of a crook.
Collins says some of the recipes in the Lucky Santangelo Cookbook were inspired by scenes in her novels, others had been created by a private chef. The Jackie Collins cocktail (raspberries, vodka, lemonade, lime and soda), created by Wolfgang Puck, were out in force at a party in Sydney this week as Collins launched her new tome, Confessions of a Wild Child.
The author says she's no fan of the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon, which many see as an extension of her work. "My heroines kick arse, they don't get their arses kicked."
