When a known radicalised potential terrorist has his passport revoked in order to prevent him leaving Australia — to prevent him killing in Syria — resulting in him killing in Australia, it shows what a mad world we live in. We should have let him go to Syria, then revoked his passport to prevent his return.
Thanks to the Prime Minister for saying that Islamist extremism is the greatest threat to Australia’s national security. Finally, we have a leader who is game to call it for what it is.
Muslims criticising Scott Morrison for speaking about violent Islam and how this is creating division, might remember that Islam has been creating divisions since its inception; dividing nations into believers and non-believers, the first group to be cherished, the second to be conquered into submission.
Ask 100 genuine scientists if they have any evidence that humans are influencing climate change and they will say no (Letters, 12/11). Ask 100 economists if there is a case to spend money trying to stop it and they will also say no.
While Western democracies flap around with renewable energy, China is increasing its low-cost electricity and nuclear power. When the West has developed its renewable energy to the point of bankruptcy, who will rule the world?

How good was it to hear our anthem performed so well in France? French people attending must have been impressed with their anthem, too. Well done to the RAAF band, soprano and choir.
How ironic that our politicians laud the sacrifice of our defence personal, past and present, who have defended our country and helped rid others of the invader, yet through the guise of foreign investment they continue to foster and encourage the takeover of Australia by stealth and without a shot being fired,
