Last Post: Johannes Leak’s cartoon lampooned identity politics
One can always tell when Johannes Leak has nailed it beautifully. The left goes berserk.

It was good to see The Australian stand by and defend Johannes Leak. The rank hypocrisy from the easily offended was disgusting. The cartoon (14/8) was a caricature of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, with Biden’s comments. Instead of attacking the cartoonist, how about attacking Biden? After all, he didn’t just make the statement, he repeated it on Twitter.

Well done, Johannes Leak and Editor-in-Chief Chris Dore. How disarming: the cancel culture hoist with its own petard.

Please chill all those who have been offended by Johannes Leak’s Biden cartoon. Thank God we have someone prepared to bring us back to earth. Keep it up, Johannes.

A standing ovation is due the Editor-in-Chief for his stance regarding the Johannes Leak cartoon. As an expat American and US Air Force veteran who came to Australia post-Vietnam, I believe identity politics and woke doctrines are best left in the US for President Trump to cope with. Australia has enough hand-wringers and history rewriters. We don’t need to import them.

Martin Luther King longed for the day when a person was judged by the content of their mind and not the colour of their skin. Joe Biden and all the left luvvies of the world obviously didn’t get the message and one has to wonder at the content, and quality, of their minds. Top cartoon, Johannes, keep it up.

The Leak cartoon brilliantly captured the key characteristics of a very important person in today’s political environment — Joe Biden’s ageing and his predilection to make bizarre and inappropriate comments regarding race. I cannot understand why someone would choose to be personally offended by such an accurate cartoon.

Rather than an explanation defending Johannes Leak’s perfectly timed cartoon, maybe a stern warning to those who continue to perpetuate racism by unnecessary bullying toward innocent cartoonists doing their job. Identity politics where the shallow minority seem to take offence for no reason causing undue stress on citizens has to stop.
Richards, Mt Gambier, SA
Johannes Leak’s cartoon was witty and spot on and I did not find it racist. Keep up the good work.
