Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Thursday, February 22.  The ASX 200 index closed flat, up by just 2.8 points to 7611.20 points, after earlier falling as much as 0.3 per cent. 

Local investors have another big list of earnings updates to work through

The Aussie dollar is trading near US65.58c.
