Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Thursday, September 21. The ASX 200 index falls 1.4 per cent to 7065.20 points, its lowest close in more than 10 weeks, after US losses on hawkish Fed commentary.

The Aussie dollar is trading around US64.13c.
