Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Monday, September 25. The ASX 200 index edges into positive territory at the end of trading, finishing just 0.1 per cent higher at 7076.50 points. Mining and bank stocks weigh on market, but tech stocks lead gains.

The Aussie dollar is near US64.25c.
