ASX 200 live: ASX dives as tariffs, risk aversion add to market jitters; Star tumbles as looks at funding options

ASX briefly erased its year-to-date gain as tariff fears and risk aversion hit global markets. Star shares drop 15 per cent as it looks at liquidity proposals.  Endeavour down as profit falls. Australia Post profit jumps.

Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Friday, February 28. The ASX 200 closed 1.2 per cent lower at 8172.4 points, hitting a two-month low and briefly erasing its year-to-date gains. 

The Aussie dollar falls 0.4pc to US62.11c, after dropping more than 1 per cent on Thursday..
