From tuk-tuk races in Bangkok and ‘ice driving’ a Lamborghini in New Zealand, to Victoria’s High Country, Le Thach and Ben Huynh’s lifestyle is splashed over their social media profiles.

On Wednesday, Le Thach was tasting cognac worth $US50,000 a bottle at a private dinner in Sydney’s Crown Towers penthouse.

The day before, her husband fronted up alone to a Sydney court, having been charged with fraud and facing 10 years’ jail.

Despite the hefty criminal allegations being levelled at Ben Huynh, Ms Thach said on November 22: “Our private LOUIS XIII Rare Cask 42.1 dinner at Crown Towers Sydney, in Penthouse 8888, was just exquisite, one of the finest and best dinners I have ever had, just an amazing night!”

In the months before that Ms Thach splashed pictures and updates of the couple across her social media pages, showing them “ice driving” Lamborghinis on snow in Queenstown, New Zealand, toasting shots in Bangkok, Thailand and touring Europe in sports cars.

There are also invitations to events from luxury shoe brand Christian Louboutin, and jewellery labels Bulgari and Tiffany, according Ms Thach’s other posts.

The almost daily updates to Facebook and Instagram, dating back years, offer a glimpse into the extravagant lifestyle Ms Thach shared with Mr Huynh – the proprietor of the Cabramatta East Day and Night Pharmacy – in the years before authorities knocked on their door.

Rumours swirled between neighbours when Australian Federal Police vaulted over fences of their trophy home at Dural, in Sydney’s northwest, worth an estimated $10m-$20m, and confiscated three Ferraris and a BMW owned by Mr Huynh earlier this month.

On Tuesday, it was revealed he was charged with obtaining a financial advantage by deception when he appeared at the Downing Centre Local Court.

Police alleged he submitted false claims for medications under the PBS that were not prescribed by a medical practitioner and not supplied to a patient. Ms Thach is not accused of any wrongdoing.

Ms Thach, who said in a Tiktok posted by Fonzie Gomez two years ago that she came from Vietnam as a refugee aged 11, is the founder of the exclusive Supercars Australia Club.

Its website features a picture of her leaning against a red Ferrari with a “Luv Le” number plate.

“Meet the club founder … Le Thach, the Red Lady,” the site says. “A passionate car lover, a supercar collector, loves driving and often is the only lady seen at the tracks.”

Not only does Ms Thach have a passion for fast cars, she also appears to have a love of art. Ms Thach is listed as a contemporary of the Museum of Contemporary Art according to their 2020 annual report and is listed as an ambassador of the Australian Ballet.

Her LinkedIn profile says she is a “business entrepreneur” and on Facebook, she is listed as having owned a collectables shop in the Rocks in Sydney between 2003 and 2012.

Her work history indicates she started as a pharmacy assistant back in 1987 and graduated from the Australian Graduate School of Management in 2006.

In the past few weeks pictures of Ms Thach and Mr Huynh show they have jetted across the across country, visiting Victoria to attend the Melbourne Cup as guests of Crown and driving to the Central Coast of NSW for a lunch at Lake Macquarie.

According to a post dated late October, the couple visited Bangkok, Thailand for five days, where they were welcomed to Lamborghini with a personalised sign, joked about a tuk-tuk race and posed with Chanel shopping bags.

Earlier in October, Ms Thach posted a picture from a Ferrari tour in Victoria’s High Country.

She said: “The drive up to Mt Buffalo was more like doing the Tango with the Ferrari for 27km.”

Ms Thach has been approached for comment.

Mr Huynh is scheduled to appear before the court next year.
