Activewear brand LSKD wins Telstra business of the year
A booming Logan firm has been named the best in the country as it expands overseas and across the country.
A growing Logan activewear chain has been named the Telstra business of the year and outstanding growth winner for 2024.
LSKD is known for providing top-tier sportswear was selected from more than 22,000 nominations of small and medium businesses nationwide..
LSKD founder and chief executive Jason Daniel launched the brand in 2007 as a wholesaler, with its headquarters in Loganholme, south of Brisbane.
Transitioned in 2019 to e-commerce, and achieved $50m in a global turnover in 21-22.
The brand has nine outlets, five in Queensland and two more on the way on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, three in New South Wales and two in Melbourne and an international HQ and storefront in Pacific Beach in San Diego.
The Australian reported LSKD turned over $100m in 2022-23, was also recognised for its high growth in recent years at a gala event in Sydney on Thursday night.
The activewear brand is an omni-channel retailer, with a direct-to-consumer app and eCommerce platform, which has experience high growth in recent years and fosters and engaged online community.
Australian Director Dig Howitt Cochlear CEO and president was on a panel of judges for the title and said “it was clear that LSKD is committed to the fitness community it serves”.
“Fostering an inclusive and high performance culture that comes through in the quality of its products. We’re thrilled to see and support the team’s continued growth.”
One of the comments from the panel judges said LSKD is “tipped to be one of Australia’s next great brands”.
The judges added that they were impressed by the importance the LSKD team placed on being a responsible, sustainable businesses that care for its supply chain, its people, and the planet.
Telstra’s business group executive Amanda Hutton said the awards provide “the opportunity to hear how some of Australia’s outstanding businesses have been adapting and excelling at meeting their community’s evolving needs, has been truly inspiring.”
An additional six business were recognised as national winners across the seven categories with LSKD the only Queensland businesses recognised.
Mumamoo, Evolve communities, Earworx, Transmutation, Eather Group and Lyka Pet Food were all winners in their categories.
