Roxy Jacenko turns $6.6m buy into $16m Vaucluse mansion

A local family has snapped up former PR agent Roxy Jacenko’s family home in Vaucluse, helping her turn a $6.6m buy into a $16m property in four short years.

A local family have splashed out around $16m to purchase former celebrity PR Roxy Jacenko’s family home in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs purchasing it ahead of its scheduled June 15 auction.

Highland Double Bay director David Malouf said the sale was negotiated at $2m above the $14m price guide with contracts exchanged on the Vaucluse mansion, replete with a separate room for Jacenko’s handbags, on Wednesday night.

Jacenko paid $6.6m for the home.

Mr Malouf would not be drawn on the identity of the buyers of the Hopetoun Ave property built in 2007 on a 575sqm block.

CoreLogic records reveal Ms Jacenko paid $6.515m for the property in 2018.

Ms Jacenko reportedly told the Wentworth Courier: “I’m thrilled — I couldn’t have wished for a better result — to have turned $6.6m into a $16m property in four short years is nothing short of amazing!”

Designer Blainey North did the interiors of the five-bedroom home with five bathrooms and a double garage which are believed to have cost around $2m.

Ms Jacenko closed her Sweaty Betty PR outfit last year after almost two decades of operation. No reason was given for her decision to close the company.
