Billed as one of Mosman’s most remarkable women, Jean Wilmot OAM, has reaped $20.2m from the sale of her deep waterfront property at 15 Burton Street, according to CoreLogic records. Ms Wilmot, 95, has held the house, north of the Sydney CBD, for more than 60 years. The property, replete with boathouse and jetty has six bedrooms and three bathrooms, but apart from its deep waterfrontage, the most valuable commodity of the solid brick Middle Harbour home is its 1086sq m parcel of land. The buyer of the multistorey property is yet to be identified. The selling agent was Richard Simeon of Simeon Partners, who recently said that people had been eyeing the home’s position for decades, and the wide and deep block would almost certainly be developed for a new trophy home. Ms Wilmot has an OAM for her contribution to sailing and professional ballroom dancing.

Phillip Bay penthouse

A two-level penthouse atop the 60-level Collins House in Melbourne with views of Port Phillip Bay and the Dandenong Ranges has hit the market with a $17m price tag. Completed in 2021, the design elements of the 480sq m penthouse include a handcrafted sculptural staircase, a mirrored corridor with 600kg German pivot doors, and a grand open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space centred around a 5.5-metre marble island crafted by a master stonemason. To top it off is the penthouse’s state-of-the-art home automation, a climate-controlled wine cellar, and a Dale Frank painting that needed to be craned in before the top level was completed. Nancy Monitto, director for Colliers Residential Victoria, is marketing the penthouse via a private sale.
