Greg Norman forms Australian property partnership with Sekisui House
Australian golf legend Greg Norman has announced a plan to move back into the local property game.
Golf legend Greg Norman has announced a plan to move back into the local property game upon his return to Australia in a new partnership with residential property developer Sekisui House.
While the 66-year-old indicated he had hoped to settle down in Australia in the coming years, the deal to build the first Norman Estates residences in southwest Sydney has been a deal six years in the making.
The exclusive $300m residential community in Gledswood Hills will fit within Sekisui House’s existing housing estate and will include 190 freestanding and attached terrace homes.
In true Norman style, a signature nine-hole short course will be included, with an exclusive resident-only clubhouse lounge, gymnasium, tennis court and resort-style pool.
“Bringing Norman Estates to Australia is close to my heart, and I am very proud of the exceptional community we are creating,” Norman said.
Sekisui House Australia general manager Craig D’Costa said the strategic location took advantage of the significant growth in southwest Sydney.
“We anticipated the long-term demand for premium lifestyle properties that offer a true feeling of sanctuary,” Mr D’Costa said.
The project will launch later this year, with some residents likely to be able to move in before Christmas. All homes within the estate will be completed next year.
Norman, who won 90 golf tournaments during his career, has a long history of property development internationally.
