The widow of former prime minister Bob Hawke has meanwhile listed her existing Sydney city apartment for $4.3m to $4.5m through Ray White Sydney CBD agent Michael Lowdon where she relocated soon after selling the couple’s Northbridge waterfront in Sydney’s north.

Mr Lowdon said Ms d’Alpuget’s existing 130 Elizabeth St two-bedroom apartment in the ONE30 Hyde Park development, which was completed about three to four years ago, was originally a three-bedroom apartment but was reconfigured to two bedrooms.

The 131sq m apartment overlooks Sydney’s 16ha Hyde Park and sports 270-degree views of Sydney Harbour. It hit the market late last week and Mr Lowdon said there had already been strong interest from downsizers and city executives.

Ms d’Alpuget and Mr Hawke purchased the apartment off the plan in November, 2015 for $3.632m according to CoreLogic’s publicly available records. But sources said there were additional costs incurred customising the apartment.

Meanwhile, Peter Rawson, the co-founder of building giant Rawson Group who paid $9.2m to buy the Northbridge home of Mr Hawke and Ms d’Alpuget, has started renovating the Minimbah Rd waterfront, according to Transport for NSW documents

Mr Rawson won approval to demolish the private landing facility at the water’s edge to construct a new enlarged mooring pen to enable the permanent berthing of his new boat – a 15m-plus vessel.

Mr Rawson purchased the property back in 2019.
