TEN'S new drama Wonderland turned in less-than-wonderful ratings for its second episode, attracting 769,000 viewers in the five capital cities, according to preliminary OzATM data.
The result was a big drop from its debut of just under a million viewers (948,000) last week on the back of a big marketing campaign.
The ABC's advertising panel show Gruen Nation was the top entertainment program of Wednesday night, pulling in 1.045 million metropolitan viewers while The Hamster Decides also rated well with an audience of 815,000.
Seven's Slideshow rated well but also slipped under the million-viewers mark (935,000) on a less-than-stellar night's TV viewing.
The network won the nightly news battle 1.195 million to Nine News's 1.154 million and Today Tonight (958,000) eased out A Current Affair (952,000).
Seven won the night with a 20.0 per cent channel share ahead of Nine's 17.2 per cent, the ABC's 15.4 per cent, Ten's 14.8 per cent and SBS (3.3 per cent).
Seven also won on a network share basis with 28.5 per cent, ahead of Nine's 24.5 per cent and the ABC's 22.4 per cent. Ten's 20.5 per cent placed it fourth, ahead of SBS (4.2 per cent).
