The premier of Sky News’s two-part political special Bad Blood/New Blood was the top unscripted program on subscription television platform Foxtel last night.

Around 122,000 people watched part one, Bad Blood: Toppling Turnbull, which revealed that then Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull offered to make Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton the deputy Liberal leader after narrowly surviving the first challenge to his leadership last year.

Mr Dutton also claimed the Liberals could have won the federal election if he, rather then Scott Morrison, had been leader.

Of that, 114,000 viewers watched it live on Sky News last night at 8pm, and another 7,000 people watched it at 11pm, according to Sky News, citing figures from OzTam.

It was the highest rating Tuesday program on Sky News so far this year, and the fourth highest program on Foxtel yesterday, behind the first three which were all Cricket World Cup match related.

Sky News was the number two channel on Foxtel with a 2.7 per cent share after FOX Cricket with 9.6 per cent, thanks largely to the Cricket World Cup.

The highly-anticipated cricket match between Australia and England at Lord’s in London was watched by more than 1.4 million people across the country.

The first session was watched by 360,000 people on Foxtel’s FOX Cricket channel, and another 709,000 viewers on Nine Network’s digital TV channel, 9Gem.

The second session, which started around 1135pm and ran until 2am, was watched by 125,000 people on FOX Cricket and 260,000 viewers on 9Gem.

Part two, New Blood: Morrison’s Miracle will show how Prime Minister Scott Morrison rebuilt the Liberal party and, won the so-called ‘unwinnable’ election tonight.

Foxtel is majority-owned by News Corp, publisher of The Australian.
