The Australian and Sky News Australia’s annual business luncheon to be held on June 9
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be a special guest at The Australian and Sky News Australia’s second annual business luncheon in June.
One of the nation’s most prestigious business events, Australia’s Economic Outlook, will this year feature Anthony Albanese.
The business luncheon, hosted by The Australian and Sky News Australia, will be held on June 9, one month after the federal budget.
The Prime Minister will join Sky News’ Andrew Clennell and Laura Jayes to discuss the economy and the cost-of-living challenges faced by many Australian households.
The Australian’s editorial director, Claire Harvey, will lead discussions with business leaders from across the country.
The Australian’s editor-in-chief, Michelle Gunn, said: “At a time of economic uncertainty and instability, our readers are intensely focused on the challenges we face as a nation. This forum is a valuable contribution to the debate and it is tremendous that the Prime Minister has agreed to give an address and outline his plan for the future.”
Sky News Australia chief executive Paul Whittaker said the forum was an important political, economic and media event, given Mr Albanese would share his vision for Australia shortly after the first anniversary of his prime ministership.
“It will be a critical time for political and business decision-makers to discuss the economic challenges facing our nation, including the geopolitical instability and its impact on the economic outlook, and how we can work together to address the financial stress facing Australians, from hikes in energy prices to rising interest rates,” he said.
