Sky News Australia notches up record audiences in 2021

Sky News Australia has delivered record audience numbers across all its platforms in 2021 and remains the number one news channel on social media.

Sky News Australia is the top channel on Foxtel and No.1 Australian news outlet on social media for the second consecutive year.

Prime-time weekday shows including The Kenny Report, Credlin, The Bolt Report, Alan Jones and Paul Murray Live delivered strong audiences, reaching more than 2.3 million unique viewers.

The Kenny Report, hosted by Chris Kenny, climbed by 11 per cent in 2021, Credlin, hosted by Peta Credlin, rose 5 per cent and Business Weekend, led by Ross Greenwood, jumped 4 per cent.

Sky News investigative documentaries including Sharri Markson’s What Really Happened in Wuhan special and Chris Kenny’s Men in the Mirror: Rudd and Turnbull, took out the top two spots for individual programs in 2021.

Sky News Australia’s chief executive Paul Whittaker said the channel remains the nation’s unrivalled multi-platform news service.

“It’s clear by our continued multi-platform growth that Australians value our compelling news offering of live breaking news, political and national affairs coverage, opinion and investigative documentaries that take a deep dive into issues of importance,” he said.

Sky News had a record of more than 1.3 billion viewers of video content across its digital platforms.
