Nicole Kidman has flaunted her rebellious side in a provocative photo shoot in Vanity Fair.

Australian superstar Nicole Kidman has flaunted her rebellious side in a provocative photo shoot on the cover of Vanity Fair.

A self-proclaimed “wildly feisty girl”, the promiscuously dressed Kidman wore black lingerie and a diamond necklace in a look that can only be described as fierce elegance.

There was no shortage of cleavage as the 51-year-old bared her chest in the Vanity Fair shoot, hidden only by a strategically placed Paco Rabanne blazer.

In the interview Kidman said her life in Tennessee offered respite from her “wildly dynamic and duly prolific career”.

“Total privacy … this is why I live here,” Kidman told the magazine.

Speaking of her “celestial” career, Kidman said she had no plans of slowing down as her seven-part series, Big Little Lies, which received 19 nominations for major industry awards and won 13, marked a return to the small screen.

“It’s so important to keep changing,” Kidman said.

“We live longer now, if we’re fortunate. So there has to be a place to put all that creative energy. I’ve done weird films and I’ve done things that are so obtuse, which I’m still committed to because I like performance art and not conforming to what everyone expects of you. I don’t think in normal terms.”

Kidman also revealed she had banned her children from Instagram.

“They don’t have a phone and I don’t allow them to have an Instagram,” she said.

“I try to keep some sort of boundaries.”

Although her 10-year-old, Sunday, was showing promise as a budding actress herself, Kidman said she was not pushing any of her children into the same profession.

“You can’t really get kids into anything, I’ve realised,” she said. “You can push them a bit, but motivation is a really hard thing. I mean, nobody motivated me to be an actor; if anything they tried to deter me.”
