Leaders of luxury brands last night celebrated the 10th anniversary of The Australian’s WISH magazine in Sydney.
Top executives from Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Hermes, Tiffany & Co, Ferrari and Etihad were among the 100 guests at the exclusive party held at Matt Moran’s Chiswick restaurant at the Art Gallery of NSW.
The Australian’s chief executive Nicholas Gray, editor-in-chief Chris Mitchell and WISH editor David Meagher were at the event to mark the 10th year of the monthly luxury magazine.
Mitchell told guests that WISH was launched as a rival to the three luxury publications produced by Fairfax Media, two of which had since closed.
Meagher said the magazine had increased its revenue 26 per cent and had 56 per cent market share compared with other newspaper inserted magazines.
“It is great to celebrate the 10-year milestone and thank our supporters, some of whom have been with the magazine since day one,” Meagher said.
“Our 10th year has actually been our busiest. We launched a Chinese-language edition and we have exciting things happening next year, too.
“Stay tuned.”
Guests were entertained by The Australian’s fashion editor, jazz singer Glynis Traill-Nash.
