Photos show a happy couple as Karl Stefanovic marries Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico

Today show host Karl Stefanovic and shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough finally tied the knot yesterday, in what was the culmination of a four-day rum-soaked fiesta at an uber luxe Mexican beach resort.
The happy couple was flanked by a monster-sized bridal party of 14, and the two were wed before 200 guests, although there were some high-profile no-shows: James Packer, Shane Warne and broadcaster Alan Jones among them.
Stefanovic wore a broad grin in the wedding photos, a far cry from his recent faux-fretting on Instagram about how he needed to lose weight for the big day. Sure, his snug arctic white Tom Ford suit suggests more punishing workouts lie ahead, but yesterday he was all smiles.
Yarbrough, a 34-year-old designer with the label Mara & Mine, had her well-toned pins on display in a blush-coloured beaded mini gown by Australian designer Jess Andreatta.
Stefanovic’s three children — River, 12, Ava, 13, and Jackson, 19 — all attended the wedding, despite earlier reports Jackson had been threatening to pull out in solidarity with his mother, Stefanovic’s first wife, Cassandra Thorburn.
Guests, including fellow Nine star Richard Wilkins, former foreign minister Julie Bishop and motorcycle champion Mick Doohan, were given white-painted maracas to shake for the newlyweds’ first kiss followed by a reception beneath a giant silk-wrapped arch, studded with fairy lights, on the resort’s private beach.
A special Bundaberg Rum limited edition cocktail mix was a nod to their Queensland roots.
“Everyone needs a Jasmine in their life,” Stefanovic declared in a toast to his bride. “And really, why would you be with me with the shitstorm that comes with me?
“You are my rock, you are my saviour, you put me back together.”
In an exclusive interview published in The Sunday Telegraph yesterday, Jasmine said choosing one person for life was a “very big thing” for her. “It means having someone by your side while you navigate this crazy, beautiful and sometimes challenging thing called life,” she said.
But Nine executives are reportedly unhappy the couple gave wedding interviews to News Corp’s The Sunday Telegraph, a rival to its newly acquired Fairfax newspapers. Stefanovic has been dogged by falling TV ratings since his 21-year marriage ended in 2016. The recent departure of Today executive producer Mark Calvert has also fuelled speculation about Stefanovic’s future if ratings fail to lift next year.
Nine chiefs have been “bigging up” the star qualities of Brenton Ragless, the 42-year-old Adelaide newsreader who is holding the fort as stand-in Today show host.
