Nine at home with Seven's second place
SEVEN'S A Place to Call Home has cemented its spot as the top Sunday Aussie drama but Nine's early evening strength won it the night.
SEVEN'S A Place to Call Home has cemented its spot as the top Sunday night Australian drama, pulling in 1.130 million viewers and also ranking as the evening's second most-watched general entertainment program.
Nine's House Husbands attracted a very respectable 924,000 while the ABC's The Time of Our Lives was watched by 675,000, according to overnight capital city data from OzTAM.
The Block Sky High topped the night with a massive 1.636 million tuning in to see the final room reveal.
Ten's Masterchef Australia continues to sit well below the million viewers mark, hovering at 853,000 viewers on Sundays.
Nine won the battle of the news and current affairs programs with its evening news bulletin the second most-watched show of the night with 1.498 million, followed by 60 Minutes (1.225 million).
Grand Designs has found its niche, attracting close to a million viewers (993,000) to the ABC's early evening schedule.
The Wimbledon Men's Final proved to be on too late to attract a large audience, though 292,000 tuned in to watch it on Seven's digital channel 7Two, topping the multichannel ratings for the evening.
The channel also won the biggest share of all multilchannels, with 5.1 per cent of free-to-air viewing, pushing Seven to a network share of 29.7 per cent.
Nine still won the night however, with a channel share of 23.1 per cent and a network share of 30.5 per cent. Ten's main channel share was 14.1 per cent, ahead of ABC1 (11.6 per cent) and SBS (4.7 per cent).
