THE Seven Network scored another weekly win, albeit in a non-ratings week, as My Kitchen Rules jumped to its first audience of more than two million since February.

Seven also scored with the return of the US drama Criminal Minds, which won its timeslot with 896,000 viewers.

Seven won the night with a 28.1 per cent channel share in all people, almost double Nine’s 14.5 per cent share. Ten (12.3 per cent) and ABC1 (12.0 per cent) battled for third, according to preliminary OzTAM data.

Seven also won convincingly in all the advertiser demographics.

Nine News again trounced Seven News in Sydney (453,000 to 264,000) and won nationally, although Today Tonight got the nod over A Current Affair, which felt the wrath of the media watchdog yesterday.

Nine couldn’t hold its audience as Home and Away logged 1.051 million and ABC News attracted 991,000 viewers.

Nine’s repeat of The Big Bang Theory drew in 658,000 viewers at 7pm but after that, neither Hot Property nor The Mentalist could crack 500,000.

The ABC1 Wednesday comedy schedule worked well with Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell stable on 627,000 viewers, and the debut of the new Jungleboys sketch comedy The Elegant Gentleman's Guide To Knife Fighting attracting 448,000 viewers, making it second in its timeslot.
