A dedicated women’s sport channel – FOXW – is returning to the screens in April, Fox Sports has announced.

All the action from the best Australian and international women’s sport stars will be available in the one location when pop-up channel FOXW returns on Fox Sports channel 511, the television group said on Tuesday.

FOXW will be available from April 1 and run through until the end of the month.

The live action and special content is in addition to women’s sport which already features throughout the year on all other Fox Sports channels and streaming service Kayo.

Fox Sports’ director of acquisitions and sports partnerships Rebecca McCloy said it will make women’s sport easier than ever to watch.

“As Australia’s leading producer and broadcaster of sports we are committed to celebrating women’s sports and sportswomen by making them more visible and accessible,” she said. “FOXW is another way to demonstrate that commitment, adding to our year round Fox Sports coverage of women’s sports available to watch on Foxtel and stream on Kayo.”

Some of the biggest sporting drawcards in April includes the AFLW finals series, W-League finals series, Matildas International Friendlies, One Day Series cricket, WSL Surfing and FIH Pro-League Hockey.

The channel will also feature a range of documentaries and specials on women’s sport.
