Caltex Australia said its managing director and chief executive for the last decade, Julian Segal, plans to retire and will step down when the search and transition to a successor is completed.

The Australian fuel supplier (CTX) said it would evaluate internal and external candidates for the role.

Mr. Segal was appointed CEO and managing director in July 2009, joining Caltex from chemicals company Incitec Pivot Ltd. (IPL.AU), which he led from mid-2005 to May 2009.

Caltex, which is due to release its first-half results on Aug. 27, also affirmed financial guidance provided to the market on June 20.
