Man drowns at Barwon Heads near Geelong
A man was pulled from the water at a beach along Thirteen Beach Rd about 12pm on Thursday.
A man has drowned at a beach at Barwon Heads along the Bellarine Peninsula near Geelong.
Emergency services rushed to the beach at Thirteenth Beach Rd following reports a man had been pulled from the water about 12pm on Thursday, but he could not be saved.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the man is yet to be formally identified.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious,” a spokesperson said.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
