A legendary ice-cream maker has launched a new creation to its beloved stable of treats just in time for the warmer weather.

A legendary Aussie ice-cream maker is launching a new flavour to its beloved stable of creamy classics, just as the winter days roll away and the summer months inch closer.

The new Frosty Fruits frozen treat, manufactured by Peters Ice Cream, has a tropical flavour and 50 per cent less sugar.

Peters Ice Cream head of marketing Andrea Hamori said the new frozen treat offered the “perfect accompaniment” for trips to the beach, poolside relaxation or after a game of backyard cricket.

“We’re thrilled to share our latest creation with Australians who continue to embrace Frosty Fruits for its delicious and refreshing range of fun frozen treats,” he said.

“Frosty Fruits remains an iconic Aussie choice, with over 30 million enjoyed in 2023 alone and we’re committed to providing high-quality, frozen treats that meet the evolving needs of Australians.”

The new reduced-sugar tropical offering will sit alongside the existing Frosty Fruits tropical, watermelon and fruit stack flavours.

Supermarket freezers will stock the eight-pack treat nationwide for about $9.

Peters Ice Cream was founded by Fred Peter more than a century ago and now produces the Drumstick, Connoisseur, Maxibon, Frosty Fruits, Proud and Punch brands.

Most of the ice creams are manufactured at the company’s factory in Mulgrave, Victoria.
