Aldi recalls popular chicken snack over undeclared allergen

Retail giant Aldi has issued an urgent recall for a popular chicken snack, urging anyone who has bought the product to return it for a refund.

Supermarket giant Aldi has issued an urgent recall for a popular chicken finger snack T-Rex Bites.

The retailer recalled the 1kg family pack snack from Farmwood over an undeclared allergen.

“Any consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” Food Standards Australia stated on Friday.

“Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.

“Consumers should return the product to any Aldi Store for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”

The snack food was sold at Aldi stores in NSW, the ACT, Queensland, South Australia, WA and Victoria.
