A Gunnedah man has been charged with the murder of a four month old baby boy
A man from country NSW has been charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby boy who died in hospital last month.
A man has been charged with the murder of a four-month-old boy after the baby died in hospital in January.
The baby was taken to Gunnedah Hospital on January 20 before he was transferred to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle where he died the following day.
Strike Force Monier was established with detectives from the Homicide Squad, Child Abuse Squad and Oxley Police District investigating the baby boy’s death.
Detectives arrested a 20-year-old man from Gunnedah at Tamworth about 8.45am on Friday.
He was charged with domestic violence murder at the Tamworth Police Station and refused bail.
He will appear before the Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
