Richard – winner of the 2018 News Award Young Journalist of the Year – has covered the 2016, 2019 and 2022 federal polls, the Covid-19 pandemic, and he was on the ground in London for Brexit and Boris Johnson’s 2019 UK election victory.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a disruptive party in Hastings Rd, Hawthorn East overnight. A house located at No 33 Hastings Rd was extensively damaged with broken windows at the front and rear of the property. Police arrived in Hastings Road following noise complaints just after 2am but noise levels were deemed to be acceptable.Police then responded to reports of further noise complaints and of a physical altercation outside an address on Hastings Road just after 4am.On police arrival no one was sighted fighting however police remained in the area for some time to monitor the situation.Those who attended the party left the area about 6am.Police were not aware of any criminal activity taking place within the premises.Police entered the property to make sure the party had cleared and it was found to have been significantly damaged.Police are also investigating two assaults against a male and female by a number of female offenders.
