Annie Brown is watch and jewellery editor across The Australian’s prestige and Conde Nast titles. She has worked as a luxury and fashion journalist for 15 years, covering all aspects of the industry. Prior to joining News Prestige Annie worked at The Sydney Morning Herald. Her journalism has been published in The Australian Financial Review, The South China Morning Post and fashion titles both in Australia and around the world.

Anthony Keane writes about personal finance for News Corp Australia mastheads, focusing on investment, superannuation, retirement, debt, saving and consumer advice. He has been a personal finance and business writer or editor for more than 20 years, and also received a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Bruce Loudon is a veteran former foreign correspondent who joined The Australian in New York in 1986 and currently writes mainly foreign affairs editorials for the newspaper. He has spent years covering news developments across the world, including the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and a total of eight years living and working in the Indian sub-continent following the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Danielle Long is the editor of The Growth Agenda. She joined The Australian in 2024 after two decades covering the marketing, media and advertising industry for specialist publications in Australia, Asia and the UK.


Mohammad Alfares is a journalist based in the Melbourne bureau of The Australian, where he covers breaking news, politics, legal affairs, and religious issues. He began filming and editing homemade ‘productions’ as a child — an early sign of his future in journalism. He holds a Bachelor of Communication from Massey University in New Zealand and began his career in broadcast news before transitioning to print. Outside the newsroom, Mohammad is an avid fisherman and adrenaline-seeker. When he’s not chasing a big catch, he enjoys unwinding with a good coffee, fresh air, and a ride on his motorbike.

Amber Plum has been Deputy Business Editor at The Australian since 2018, after joining the masthead in 2016. She was previously a European correspondent and deputy editor at Business Spectator.
