The White Lotus star checks in to Vivid Sydney

Jennifer Coolidge, star of the hit seriesThe White Lotus, will headline at Vivid Ideas in Sydney, joined by the show’s writer, director, and creator, Mike White, for an in-conversation event.
The pair will delve into their longstanding friendship, their decades-long careers in Hollywood, and the power of storytelling and satire. Of course, there will also be some juicy behind-the-scenes tidbits about the making of The White Lotus. I
Gill Minervini, the director of Vivid festival, said the conversation would provide an opportunity for audiences to “see behind the curtain on what has become a massive cultural zeitgeist and hear from two of the hottest figures in the creative industries right now”.
Jobs and Tourism Minister John Graham added: “There is no doubt this Vivid Ideas event with the series’ leading talent Mike White and Jennifer Coolidge will be a huge drawcard for fans from near and far.”
White, who rose to fame in Hollywood in the early 2000s with comedies such as School of Rock and Orange County, previously revealed to The New York Times that “Jennifer’s the reason I did The White Lotus in the first place. Because I just wanted to write something for her and I just adore her.”
With the third season of the 10-time Emmy award-winning dramedy in production, White has teased that he is exploring a satirical look at “death and Eastern religion and spirituality”.
