DO we really need to see Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer checking out romantic locations together?

LOOK, Kirstie Allsopp (no relation to Dame Edna's old sidekick Madge) and Phil Spencer are terrific co-hosts on their flagship program, Location, Location, Location.

But do we really need to see them - they are, after all, workmates, not bedmates - checking out the most romantic location, location, locations on Earth together?

Tonight they are in St Moritz, Switzerland, that playground of the rich and famous. ‘‘This is Bond Street on a ski,’’ squeaks Allsopp, eyeing the upmarket shops in the town centre.

Unfortunately for her, she has been given the near impossible task of doing St Moritz on a budget. There is a sense of product placement as every hotel is announced onscreen in titles as big as your auntie, but what the hell. Since a sandwich up here costs 30 ($47), the bills have to be paid somehow.
