The Very Best of Spicks and Specks
THIS is Spicks and Specks' second "best of" reel, ahead of the hour-long final episode to be aired next week.
WHILE people grieve in the streets about the demise of this program, clinging to remnants like the recent live shows designed to continue the trajectories of its low-key celebrities, here is the second "best of" reel, ahead of the hour-long final episode to be aired next week.
I've never considered myself much of a fan but I must say these little grabs are sensational. What have I been missing? Sure, the format has remained the same, the team captains have always been the same, and the delivery of host Adam Hills is even-tempered to the point of irksome. But, my goodness, what fun they have with Meat Loaf. They even manage to get Pete Murray to take his shirt off. The substitute game, where guests sing ridiculous lyrics from technical manuals to popular songs goes straight to the heart with Megan Washington, Martha Wainwright and Katie Noonan. This proves that if any of them sang rubbish lyrics, tears would flow and records would still be sold.
