Lorde announces 2026 Australian arena tour
The New Zealand pop star will return to Australian stages in February 2026 for her first local tour since Solar Power, performing arena shows in support of her new album, Virgin.
Lorde will return to Australian stages early next year, playing the largest venues of her career in the country to date.
The New Zealand-born pop star is set to tour in February, with arena dates confirmed in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
The tour will showcase her fourth album, Virgin, which the Australian gave three-and-a-half stars, writing: “Lorde has returned to the world of largely electronic arrangements on Virgin, but it’s decidedly not a retread. Even when the album offers less than stellar results, her efforts to experiment and adapt are still present. She’s always dared to be different, so why stop now?”
Tickets will go on sale from 1pm on Tuesday, July 15.
Billed as the Ultrasound World Tour, it marks Lorde’s first Australian shows since 2023’s Solar Power tour — which The Australian’s national music writer Andrew McMillen praised as “near-perfect.”
The tour announcement coincides with Lorde’s appearance on the cover of Vogue Australia, where she was interviewed by a circle of friends and collaborators, including Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, Australian pop star Troye Sivan, writer and filmmaker Miranda July, and actor Kyle MacLachlan.
“This kind of intensity, vulnerability and catharsis. There’s always pain. There’s always joy. There’s an expression that comes out of me again and again that feels like mine,” she told the magazine.
