Moment Clark wins US Open
Take a look back at the moment Clark won the 2023 US Open:
‘I just felt like it was my time’: Clark
Wyndham Clark has lifted the US Open trophy and delivered a short speech to the crowd, dedicating the win to his mum who passed away from breast cancer.
“I just felt like my mum was watching over me today,” Clark said.
“She can’t be here, and I miss you mum, but I just feel like I’ve worked so hard and I have dreamt of this moment for so long.”
“I just feel like it was my time, and thank you.”

Clark celebrates with caddie after US Open win
Wyndham Clark wins 2023 US Open
America’s Wyndham Clark is the 2023 US Open champion, defeating Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy by one stroke.
Clark finished his round on -10, after having a three-stroke lead at one point, with McIlroy missing out on his first title in nine years, finishing on -9.
Fans rushed to the 18th green to witness Clark’s final two putts, and the 29-year-old got his final putt within a foot of the hole, before dropping it in to claim the 123rd US Open title.
This morning’s front-runner Rickie Fowler closed out his round on -5, finishing equal fifth overall along with Tommy Fleetwood and Min Woo Lee.
Australia’s Cameron Smith finished in fourth on -6, and Scottie Scheffler was third on -7.
Par for McIlroy on 18th, Clark approaches final hole
McIlroy closes out his final round on -9 after par on the 18th, his 16th of the day.
All Clark has to do is keep his cool and avoid a bogey on the 18th to claim victory on -10
The only other player left on the course is Rickie Fowler on -6, after Scottie Scheffler closed out his round on -7 to move him into third place.
Australian Cameron Smith moves down to fourth, with Min Woo Lee to sixth.

McIlroy hunts birdie on 18th to keep championship alive
McIlroy is hunting a birdie on the final hole, and his drive off the tee could put him in with a chance.
It’s been nine years since he won his last major, but he’s still one stroke behind Clarke.
181 yards out from the hole, McIlroy gets the ball onto the green, but it’s a fair few feet away from the hole for the birdie.
Clarke hits par on the 17th, and needs a clean final hole to bring home the championship.
Only one the difference between Clark and McIlroy with two holes to go
We’re getting to the pointy end, and Clark is struggling to close out this tournament.
The ball dances around the hole on the 16th, but Clarke just pushes it past. That’s a bogey for Clarke to put him back on -10, with Rory McIlroy knocking on the door with -9 after hitting par for his past three holes.
Bogey for Clark on 15th, ball into the bunker on the 16th
It’s the Clark and McIlroy show at the Los Angeles Country Club, and a mistake from Clark has narrowed the gap between them to two.
The only player to bogey the 15th today, Clark just missed the hole. With only three holes left and a little buffer from second, are his nerves getting to him?
To add to his woes, Clark’s first hit on the 16th sails straight into a steep bunker.
McIlroy gets a putt downhill to catch up on Clark, and he pushes it in nicely for par on the 15th. The pressure is on Clark to keep his cool, and he’s going to need it getting out of that bunker.
