A Melbourne stalker who took secret intimate images of women before sending them to their colleagues will spend months in jail for what a magistrate described as a distressing, relentless campaign of abuse.
Martyn Boylan, 49, of Brooklyn, sent one of his victims pictures of his own penis and footage of him having sex with other women.

He also persistently stalked one of his victims, repeatedly turning up at her workplace and later flying a drone over her family’s house.
Magistrate Therese McCarthy said both victims worked in an industry of a “public” nature.
She said that during one incident, Boylan left sexual notes on the car of one victim before following her home from work.
When the woman attempted to prevent further contact, Boylan used the phone numbers of others, including family members, to harass her and leave obscene, abusive and threatening messages.
“You sent her pics of your penis and you having sex with other women,” McCarthy said.
The magistrate said in what appeared to be an attempt to embarrass the women, he emailed intimate pictures of them to their workplaces.
The Melbourne Magistrates’ Court heard neither of the women consented to or were aware that intimate images of them were being taken. It also remained unclear, the court heard, how they were obtained.
“You went to great lengths to cause maximum embarrassment and distress.,” McCarthy said.
Boylan faced court via videolink from custody at Ravenhall Corrections Centre.
He pleaded guilty to stalking, distributing intimate images of another person, and possessing steroids.
Much of the proceedings were heard in closed court with details unable to be reported for legal reasons.
McCarthy said the consequences of his behaviour had been significant and ongoing, and labelled the sending of a homemade sex tape of him with another woman to one of the victims as degrading.
She also noted Boylan had previously been sentenced in the County Court for earlier abuse-related offending that carried many of the hallmarks of his latest reign of terror and came after he earlier completed a court-mandated men’s behavioural change program.
Boylan was sentenced to 20 months in jail and must complete a 30-month community corrections order on his release from custody.
The order would include conditions including that Boylan wore an electronic ankle monitoring bracelet to ban him from entering two bayside suburbs, and perform 300 hours of unpaid community service, the magistrate said.
The court heard that on his release, Boylan was a high risk of reoffending.
