Emergency services were called to a property in Darkwood – about 67 kilometres west of Coffs Harbour – at 7pm on Thursday, following reports a body had been found.

Officers found the body of a 62-year-old man in a surfboard bag on the driveway of the property, police said. The man was later identified as Mark Myers, Nine News reported.

A crime scene was established, and local officers, with assistance from State Crime Command’s homicide squad, established Strike Force Nome to investigate the death.

Following extensive inquiries, police arrested Cummings on Loftus Street, Nambucca Heads, about 2.10pm on Friday.

She was taken to Macksville police station where she was charged with murder (domestic violence). Police will allege in court that Cummings and the man were known to each other.

When she appeared in court before a registrar on Saturday, Cummings did not apply for bail, which was formally refused.
