A Camden man has become $30 million richer after winning the entire Powerball jackpot on Thursday night.
The man discovered his win shortly after the numbers came through, holding the only division one winning entry for draw 1404.
Speaking to lottery officials on Friday morning, the man said he found out about 9pm and became paranoid.
“We showed people and asked, ‘Is this a win?’ I was checking the ticket every freaking 10 minutes,” he said.
“I’m speechless, my mind is blown.”
The man plans to set his family up for the future and treat himself to a Lamborghini, his dream car.
“Trust me – this couldn’t have gone to a better family. This is going to set so many people up. It’s amazing,” he said.
“I’d love to get a Lamborghini. That’s my dream car. I’ve wanted that car since I was a kid.”
The Camden man joins another five Powerball division one winners this year who pocketed a combined $129.82 million.
There have been two wins in both NSW and South Australia and one each in Victoria and Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1404 on Thursday, April 13, were 27, 33, 19, 29, 5, 12 and 15. The all-important Powerball number was 4.
Chances to win continue as next Tuesday’s Oz Lotto is offering $3 million while Thursday’s Powerball has $4 million up for grabs.
