True love may not have gone the distance for The Bachelor - or lasted longer than the actual series - but what would Ten care?
Last night's nail-biting conclusion of The Bachelor scored the show its biggest ever ratings, pulling in an audience of 1.374 million viewers for Blake Garvey's final decision, blasting The Block Glasshouse off its foundations.
The Bachelor's final episode on Ten was split into two segments for ratings purposes and the finale finished third with 1.026 million watchers, according to the OzTAM's overnight ratings figures.
The final decision hit almost 200,000 viewers more than last year's The Bachelor finale when Tim Robards declared his love for Anna Heinrich.
Sandwiched between The Bachelor final decision segment and The Bachelor finale was The Block Glasshouse.
The Nine Network renovation series was second with an audience of 1.065 million viewers.
It was a rare loss for The Block which has basically owned the No.1 position all season.
Once regional numbers are included, the overall audience for the final decision hit 1.836 million
Network Ten had a second success with the launch of the US political thriller Madam Secretary, which was 10th with 740,000 viewers.
Once regional ratings enter the mix, the overall numbers for The Bachelor are bumped up to 1.836 million.
Ten is also claiming victory across social media, with the final decision Facebook post being seen by 2.4 million, according to the network.
